If the SD light is blinking green, then your camera is updating its firmware and will not send pictures during this time. DO NOT TURN OFF THE CAMERA DURING THIS UPDATE, it should finish within 5-8 minutes.
If the SD light is red:
- Confirm that your SD card is between 8-32 GB
- Format your SD card. To do this, turn your camera to SETUP mode. After all lights are solid, press the FORMAT button for 6 seconds until you see the SD light flash one time.
If the light remains red: - Turn the camera OFF
- Partially eject the SIM card (little white card) by clicking it in with your fingernail. It will then eject itself.
- Wait ten seconds, then click the SIM card back in.
- Turn camera to SETUP mode.
If the battery light is red, you should swap in a fully-charged battery pack.
If your signal light is red and your account light is green, then your camera has a weak signal, but the camera can still reach our servers. The camera will still be able to send pictures, although with weak signal, they might not send consistently.
If the signal and account light are solid red:
- Confirm that your camera is active in your command center
- Check the antenna for visible damage
- Turn the camera OFF for ten seconds, then back to SETUP mode. You might need to repeat this step up to three times. If this doesn't work, you may need to try a new location or call us for phone support.
- Before relocating, you can try turning the camera to ON mode and walking in front of it for five minutes to see if it sends pictures. A red signal light can mean either very weak signal or no signal. The camera can still send pictures on a very weak signal, although it won't send with 100% consistency.
If the signal light is flashing red or if both the signal light and the account light are red:
- Turn the camera OFF.
- Partially eject the SIM card (little white card) by clicking it in with your fingernail. It will then eject itself.
- Wait ten seconds, then click the SIM card back in.
- Turn camera to SETUP mode.
Yellow or green lights do not require any further action. To take a test image:
1. In SETUP mode, wait for all lights to turn solid green or yellow.
2. Push the TEST button while lights are solid and illuminated to receive a test pic (this will show up in your Yellowstone.ai app).
3. After 30 seconds, the lights will turn off; the camera has entered ON mode and will no longer take a test picture.
