For a Y2 camera (camera with one antenna), you have the option to choose a thumbnail resolution of SD (standard definition) or SD+. If you want even greater image quality, from your app, click on "Media" at the bottom. Click on the photo/ video you'd like to be improved, then click "Request HD" at the top. Within 24 hours (usually much sooner), your SD/SD+ image/ video will be replaced with the HD (high definition) version.
Note: Please be aware that SD+ and HD images will count towards your allotted data. From the "Cameras" section in your app, you can keep tabs on data consumption for each camera by viewing MB used/ total MB (bottom right of each camera section).
For the Y1 camera (camera with two antennas), by default, your camera will take and save a high-resolution picture to your SD card, but will compress that file to lower-resolution for wireless transfer to your Command Center (app). This minimizes your wireless data and battery consumption. To increase the resolution of your pictures that get sent to your Command Center, follow the following steps:
1. Click on "Cameras" on the bottom left, then click the three dots to the right of your camera name.
2. Click on "Cellular Settings."
3. Change "Send Pic Resolution" to MEDIUM. We recommend keeping Web Control on DAILY and Max #/Day on UNLIMITED.
