(This article is for our 2-antenna camera models. If your Y2 is failing to send videos, please contact support@yellowstone.ai for help)
One of the coolest features of our cameras is their ability to send videos to your command center.
But this feature can be limited. Videos are much larger files than pictures, which can make videos challenging to send over a cellular connection. In order for videos to transmit successfully, we recommend the following settings:
- Camera Mode - Video (or "Picture and Video")
- Send Videos Wirelessly - On
- Video Length - 5 Seconds
- Video Resolution - SD (Standard Definition)
Even with these settings in place, you're at the mercy of cell coverage... You'll need very strong cell coverage for your camera to send videos to your command center. If your videos are sending but not consistently, please let us know and we can help you with upgraded antennas or other modifications to help you get the most happiness from your camera.
